I am happy to announce these things lined up ahead.
I was awarded a residency at Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts in Taipei, Taiwan. It is a residency at a contemporary art museum which is affiliated with Taipei National University of the Arts. Nomura Cultural Foundation generously decided to fund my residency by their Art Project Grant. It will be in September 2009.
Headlands Center for the Arts invited me for their residency program. They will provide me a big “Project Room” where I like to develop my big cardboard installations (“Oh, the Humanity!,” “… till that morning” and such) further. I am so happy about this offer. I will do my best to respond to their appreciation and expectation of the development of my work.
My solo show at Swarm Gallery has been scheduled. It opens on October 30, 2009. I plan to complete the most of the artworks in the residency at Headlands.
Hmm… 2009 will be the busiest. (Every year is the busiest, anyway…)
Congratulations Taro!
Hope to see even greater works with your new media you are exploring!
I will try to give you a better critique of your previous work as I promised to write to you soon…
I will upload a short clip(a very short clip..)of a workshop I did last summer with few other fellow art students using card boards on Youtube. Hope I get to show it to you soon.
Good luck with your project!
Thanks!
I am looking forward to seeing the clip. Please let me know the link to it.
