Les Demoiselles de Rochefort

Les Demoiselles de Rochefort translated as The Young Girls of Rochefort in English is a 1967 musical film directed by Jacques Demy. The music was by Michel Legrand, a french Jazz conductor and pianist. Here we can see extremely cute sisters Catherine Deneuve and François Dorléac. They are real sisters! The film is a happily kitsch and colorfully pop love story. And this film makes everybody who knows those sisters so sad. Why? One year after the film, François Dorléac was killed by a car accident when she was heading to an airport. She was missing her flight, and rushing and drove into a sign post. She was so beautiful. I really don’t want anybody die like that.

This duo is amazing. The colors of the room and their costumes are so 60s French version of American Pop. Their dances and faces are unbearably attractive. If I were a woman I want to be like them.

Oh, Michel Legrand, your composition is great. This song which starts in the mid section of the video is my favorite one in the movie.

Wow… wow… wow…
