Here she is. I really love several singers whose voices are in a way ugly or who sing badly, but who make singing a real warm human musical experience. Vinicius de Moraes is one of them. And yes, Elizabeth Cotten is an amazing singer. I did not know well about her but it seems Bob Dylan admires her so much. Her song “Freight Train” is a warm, child-like but REAL song. I really love it.
She was left-handed, but she was using the normal right-handed guitar. So, the order of strings is from her reversed. That might make her guitar play a bit unique.
I did not want this guy to sing, actually…
